Joseph Goldburd, Esq.
The founding partner of Goldburd McCone LLP, Joseph Goldburd has practiced law since 1976. He earned his LL.M. from New York University and his J.D. from New York Law School. After working at Becker & London and Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young), he founded Goldburd McCone LLP in 1983. Since then, he has successfully represented individual and business taxpayers in all areas of tax law. He has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Tax Lawyers in the State of New York by the American Society of Legal Advocates (ASLA).
Steven Goldburd, Esq.
Steven Goldburd was Managing Attorney at the Law Offices of Donald G. Koch prior to joining our firm. He also worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Geller & Company. Steven earned his LL.M. from New York Law School and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. He was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers for the years 2020 through 2022, Super Lawyers Rising Stars for the years 2016 & 2017 and the Top 40 Under 40 Tax Lawyers in the State of New York by the American Society of Legal Advocates (ASLA) for the years 2015-2019.
Benjamin Goldburd, Esq.
Benjamin Goldburd worked in accounting and private equity before joining our firm. While attending Fordham University School of Law, he worked as a student-attorney in Fordham’s tax clinic, where he represented low-income taxpayers. In addition to Tax, Benjamin’s practice expands the Firm’s reach into M&A and Corporate Law. He was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2022 and has been recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Tax Lawyers in the State of New York by the American Society of Legal Advocates (ASLA) for 2017-2019.

Barry Brick, Esq.
Barry Brick worked for Marks Paneth LLP, Clarfield, Okun, Salomone & Pincus, P.L & the Queens County District Attorney’s Office prior to joining our firm.
While attending Hofstra University School of Law, he worked as a student-attorney in Hofstra’s tax clinic, where he represented low-income taxpayers. He was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2022.

Aliya Siddiqui joined the firm after working for Curcio Mirzaian Sirot LLC, LifePlan Lawyer & The Department of Homeland Security. She received her J.D. from Emory University Law School and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Human Health with a minor in Political Science from Emory University.
Michelle K. Strom Esq.
Michelle Strom joined the firm after working for Tadmor & Tadmor LLP, O’Neil & Hauser PC and The Law offices of Stephen Kuzma. She received her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and obtained her Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in Human Development and Family Science with a minor in Thanatology from the University of Rhode Island.

Jack Fattal, Esq.
Prior to working for Sichenzia Ross Ference Carmel LLP and Anthony, Linder & Cacomanolis, PLLC, prominent corporate & securities law firms, Jack served as General Counsel at Soho Properties, a Manhattan-based real estate development and investment firm, with upwards of $750 million AUM, as well as at a global Japanese private equity fund, where he acquired significant real estate, securities and fund management expertise.
Jack has advised large bulge bracket investment banks and funds on 9-figure IPOs and M&A transactions. His expertise includes asset acquisitions and restructuring of portfolio investments, involving financial restructuring, joint ventures, divestitures and carve-out transactions – across varied industries, including real estate development, land banking, hospitality operations, hospitality technology, pharmaceuticals, consumer products and retail.
Robert Kantowitz Esq.
Robert Kantowitz has been a tax lawyer for over forty years. His practice ranges over all matters of federal income tax law, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and cross-border transactions, and he worked many years in banking doing capital markets and developing financial products and solutions. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in physics from Yeshiva University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review, and an LL.M. in taxation from NYU Law School.
Brian P. Ketcham Esq.
Brian Ketcham joined the firm after working Kostelanetz & Fink (now Kostelanetz LLP). Prior to that, he completed two federal clerkships at the United States District Court: first as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Joan M. Azrack and, thereafter, as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Roslynn R. Mauskopf.
Jessica Ledingham Esq.
Jessica Ledingham dedicates her legal career to specializing in tax law, starting with earning her LL.M. in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center. Following this achievement, she worked as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Ronald L. Buch at the United States Tax Court. After over five years of practicing in “Big Law” she left to provide “big law” quality work with the small law firm feel. Jessica’s emphasis is corporate litigation, Criminal Tax Defense, IRS Audits, and Tax Litigation.
Samuel Plutchok, Esq.
Samuel Plutchok joined the firm after working in the tax and estate planning groups of several prestigious international law firms. He received his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he served as an Associate Editor on Law Review. He obtained his L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. Samuel’s experience includes establishing and full service legal support of all types of non-profit institutions, as well as managing ultra high net worth estate planning and post death estate and trust administration.
Lawrence Stein, Esq.
Lawrence Stein graduated from The Florida State University College of Law in 1991. He then attended and graduated in 1992 from one of the top tax law programs in the United States–The LL.M in Taxation program at the University of Florida Levin College Of Law. Lawrence has a B.B.A. in Accounting and a Masters in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University.
Murray Weber, Esq.
Murray Weber has been practicing law since 1969. His experience includes expertise in tax procedure, tax reduction and tax fraud, partnership tax law, entertainment client representation, taxpayer representation in the Tax Court and Federal Courts, 1031 tax free exchanges, and mergers and acquisitions. He received his LLM from NYU Law School, his JD from Columbia Law School, his MBA from Columbia Business School and his BS from Boston University, all with honors. As a tax attorney for entertainment clients, he developed an expertise in partnership formations and real estate development and he has developed several properties in Southern CA. Murry has worked at PriceWaterhouse, Arnold and Porter in Washington DC and Kaplan Livingston in Beverly Hills, CA.
Joshua Lowenthal
Attorney Josh Lowenthal specializes in helping small business owners optimize their tax strategies and enhance their profitability through comprehensive tax, business, and estate planning. Marion Keyes
Marion has been an attorney since 2000. His practice focuses on International Tax Planning, International Corporate Structuring, and International Estate Planning/Asset Protection Planning. Marion speaks English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese and attended the Beijing Language Institute and the People’s University of China as part of his undergraduate studies.

Shammai Bienenstock, Consultant
Shammai Bienenstock is a retired Administrative Law Judge at the Appeals Office of the IRS. Prior to that, he was a Revenue Agent as well as a Formal Instructor for newly hired Revenue Agents. Shammai retired from the IRS after more than 30 years of service. He is also an accounting and auditing professor at Touro College. He received his M.B.A from New York University and his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Brooklyn College.
Jessica Throckmorton, Administrative Assistant
Jessica Throckmorton joined the firm as a Legal Assistant after graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2022 with a B.S. in Business Administration. Jessica will be attending New York Law School in Fall 2024, with a concentration in Tax and Corporate Law.

I have completed coursework from the Appraisal Institute to become an Appraisal Assistant. With a Bachelor’s degree in History and experience as an Office Manager, I possess strong skills in research, analysis, and customer service. I am highly organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. My goal is to build a career and make a meaningful contribution to an organization.
