Form 941: This form is used to file an employer’s quarterly federal tax return. If you own a business, and withhold income taxes, social security tax, or Medicare tax from an employee’s paycheck – you must file this report each quarter. The form can be accessed here.
Form CP271: IRS letter being received by individuals who applied for the ERC. the letter, in a gist, states that a claim has been received, and is being processed- no further action is needed.
Form 6612: The claim has been received but more information is needed, send it to the IRS through your ERC processing company.
Form 9465: Installment Agreement Request – this form is used by a taxpayer to request a monthly payment plan on debts to the IRS.
Notice 703: This form can be used to determine if social security benefits are taxable. The form can be accessed here.
Notice CP14: As one of the more common notices, IRS Notice CP14 is sent to inform taxpayers they owe money on unpaid taxes.
Notice 5071c: Relating to Identity Theft, this notice is an important one to watch as a taxpayer. If you receive this letter, the IRS wants to confirm your identity. It’s important to handle this notice with extreme care. If your identity is at risk, be sure to take precautions to avoid any further security issues.
Notice CP05: When you receive this letter as a taxpayer, the IRS is attempting to confirm your income and tax credits. While the Internal Revenue Service is ‘simply determine if income is reported correctly’, it is best to contact a tax professional immediately, and before responding to the notice.
